Harvest was right on schedule, and eight individual lots of wine were produced that year. Two exceptional lots were barreled down, and then blended and bottled for this wine. The flavors and aromas reflect the varietal softness and fullness of character. In the barrels for seven years, it is now showing complex aromas of cognac, wood and dried fig. Souzao and Touriga were blended with the Tinta Madeira, as the fruit has slowly developed the dynamics of a true barrel-aged Port.
