This sublime Port is from bottling lot #250 in 2010. It is suggested that you obtain additional bottles of this gem, and lay them down in your cellar. Open one every two or three years, and enjoy the subtle complexity that continues to develop in this classic favorite. Already softening with bottle age, it will continue to increase in complexity in both fragrance and flavor. Look for an intricate structure of butterscotch, maple and toffee, layered under the rich and intense berry fruit. With time, dried fruit flavors will predominate from the Tinta Madeira grape, characterizing the soft and silky texture. With further ageing, the wine may need decanting, or if you prefer, it is ready to drink now.
