AUGUST 1993 - This is how I found it at a local wrecking yard. There it was, just waiting to be crushed. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, eh? Yeah... Well, I know what you're thinking! It was built as a 1963 model, but actually sold and titled here in California as a 1964. Commission number FC18225L - originally white with a black interior. Needs a good home and a little TLC, wouldn't you say? |
| The car was pretty complete - except for missing the passenger seat, a top, and some various odds and ends (a headlight, bonnet prop rod, and front bumper come to mind immediately!). The engine oil was clean, and I even got it to run, despite a rusty hole in one of the freeze plugs below the exhaust manifold. I managed to find a top frame and an original metal hardtop locally, as well as some interior parts. I put those things in storage - it will be a while before the interior would be installed. | ![]() |
