1996 Colheita Tawny Port:
This very limited bottling of only 4 barrels exemplifies the complex and subtle dynamics of a true barrel aged Port. Feel yourself drawn in, from the golden-amber edge in the glass, enticing aromas of dried fruit and wood to the elegant softness of flavor, full of cherry and plum. Extremely well balanced, it will tempt and invite your palette for another sip. This Colheita is slowly and carefully wood aged, creating a unique intensity of flavor and character. Peter Ficklin personally selected and blended the wines that were bottled, exclusively for the PORTfolio Society. (750ml)
1999 Late Bottled Vintage Port:
Bottled in June 1988 and re-corked in January 2005, this is a blend of the four Portuguese varieties (40% Tinta Madeira, 37% Souzao, 12% Touriga, and 2% Tinta Cao). Seventeen years of bottle aging have matured and softened the complex fruit of black cherry and ripe raspberry, with hints of menthol, tobacco and tea. This is a Port that will continue aging for many years, but it is ready to enjoy now. There are only 600 bottles available of this special selection from our library at this time. (750ml)
L’Andalus Orange Aperitif Wine:
Just three barrels were bottled of this blend of the Palomino and Malvasia grapes. This limited third bottling exhibits an aromatic palette including ripe apricot, honey, orange blossom and peach. Additional age has added dimensions of complexity in the mouth with rich layers of character surrounding flavors of roasted nuts. A perfect wine served as either an aperitif or dessert, with a balanced sweetness up front, and a resonant, dry finish. Drink now. (375ml)
